The content of these documents require a basic level of knowledge about fighting games and Guilty Gear (GG). Even if the content is important for beginners, it is not the primary intended audience as the document does not explain any basic fighting game terminology.
The content of this document should be credited to its author, Shinjin, as this is not merely translated material. While knowledge and material from various Japanese sources has served as a basis, several additions and changes have been made to improve the content. Not least did writing involve much conceptual work. Written material is also different from audio and video, and several interpretations of the scattered thoughts of others were made throughout the writing process. If anything, the content can be presented as “Japanese GG fundamentals”, as this is the tradition that I have drawn upon to write this piece.
The document focuses on Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2, but can also be applicable to Guilty Gear XX-series, as well as other 2D fighting games. I intend to write a new version for Guilty Gear Strive after we have figured out more of the game.

This page is still work in progress!
